Holidays - Halloween

Are you tired of Halloween yet?

October 30, 2008

Halloween is tomorrow and so far I'm behind on my candy buying. I can't say that I'm sick of Halloween but when Adeliaide's teacher called today to see how her health was, I learned that just about everyone who attended a recent preschool Halloween party came down with a horrible illness. I'll never be sick of Halloween but Halloween has clearly taken its toll on me. Here's a roundup of some  Read more...

Tips to help your child (and you) enjoy Halloween

October 28, 2008

Telling you how to help your child to enjoy Halloween might seem kind of silly. After all, costumes candy = FUN FOR ALL. Instead, let me pass along a few tips for a safe, happy, Halloween (and fewer bellyaches the day after). Avoid masks. October 16, 2008

Why wait until Halloween to parade your preschooler around in costume? After all, you might as well get as much use out of the thing as you can. City Park is presenting Ghosts in the Oaks this year starting tonight. For $15 ($12 for members) you will have access to Storyland and City Park Amusements (rides y'all!) from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Entry includes unlimited rides, crafts and  Read more...

October 08, 2008

Last year put off getting a pumpkin until only a couple days before Halloween. This resulted in buying the last two, tiny pumpkins left in Winn Dixie (Save-A-Center was all out -- I checked). This year I bought one from Whole Foods the moment they stocked the bins -- just in case. However, I still feel like there is room for at least one more pumpkin on our porch and for special addition, I  Read more...
